A supported stay, made possible by others

An Angel Stay is a stay at the Sanctuary funded through the kindness of our donors and sponsors, so that cost does not stand in the way of rest and recovery.

It is for women who are carrying a great deal right now. Grief, burnout, exhaustion, or simply the weight of a difficult season. If you need time to rest but the cost is out of reach, this is here for you.

There is no need to prove how much you are struggling, and no form that decides your worth. A quiet conversation is where it begins.

Many women hesitate to reach out. They wonder if their situation counts, or if someone else needs it more. If part of you is reading this and quietly hoping, that is reason enough to start a conversation. You are welcome to come as you are. You do not need the right words, a tidy explanation, or a plan for what comes next. You only need to let us know that you would like to talk.

Angel Stays are made possible by other women and supporters who choose to give, often quietly and without recognition. Around one in three women who come to the Sanctuary have been supported in this way. If you receive a supported stay, there is nothing to feel uneasy about. It is given freely, and it is meant for moments exactly like this one. Accepting support is its own kind of strength.
Women’s Healing Sanctuary is a registered charity and deductible gift recipient. Supported stays carry no cost and no obligation to the women who receive them.

When you get in touch, you will have a private and unhurried conversation with Janine, our founder. Together you can talk through where things are for you and whether a supported stay feels right. Janine will help you understand what may be possible.

There is no public list of who does or does not qualify. Every woman’s situation is different, and that is exactly why the conversation matters more than any criteria could.

Will I have to explain everything I am going through?
No. Your stay is yours. You can choose rest, solitude, quiet connection, or light optional supports if they are available during your stay.

Please don’t let that stop you from applying. Many women question whether they are “deserving enough”, but if you’re experiencing loss, trauma, or hardship and believe time at the Sanctuary could support your healing, we encourage you to apply. Every application is considered with care, compassion, and respect for your individual circumstances.
