About the Sanctuary

Women’s Healing Sanctuary is a large private home in Port Stephens, New South Wales, set on six secluded acres. An easy two-hour drive from Sydney, with Newcastle Airport 25 minutes away and access by car, train, or bus.
With a maximum of seven guests at a time, you will find privacy, quiet, and room to breathe. All meals are included. Choose to share a table, eat in your room, or dine outdoors on the verandah or by the lagoon pool.
If cost is a barrier, Angel Sponsorship may be available through our not-for-profit model.
Our Sanctuary
Located an easy two-hour drive from Sydney and or 25 minutes from Newcastle Airport, Women’s Healing Sanctuary is a large, private home on a secluded 6 acres of trees, gardens and lawns.

As a not-for-profit charity, our purpose is to provide a nurturing space where women can rest and recover from loss, exhaustion, and the weight of difficult seasons. Accessibility sits at the heart of how we operate.
The Sanctuary is intentionally small and peaceful, with a maximum of seven guests for privacy and quiet. All meals are included, with flexible dining so you can share a table or keep to yourself.
Sleep in, sit under a tree, walk around the water lily pond, take a dip in the lagoon pool, toast marshmallows at the fire pit, journal, or do nothing at all. The choice is yours.
Our Mission
As a not-for-profit charity, our mission is to provide a nurturing space where women can heal from the overwhelming experiences of loss and trauma. We believe every woman deserves a chance to rest, heal, and restore energy and well-being regardless of her financial situation.
A quiet kind of impact
Since welcoming our first guest in April 2021, we have made space for 313 women to rest and restore.
Together, we have provided 818 nights of rest in a safe and supportive place.
Around 30% of all stays have been supported through our Angel Sponsorship Program, so a woman’s circumstances need not stand in the way of time to pause.
Women supporting women
228 nights have been gifted through sponsorship, made possible by women helping other women find space to breathe.
87 stays have been partially or fully funded for women who needed them most, including 33 fully funded and 54 partially funded stays.
Each booking helps fund a place for another woman to arrive weary, set her bags down, and feel the quiet relief of being somewhere safe.

We welcome no more than seven women at any time, so there is always room to be quiet, to be still, and to simply be.
